Port Aransas: Airbnb

I’ve been wanting to go to the beach for what feels like forever. Sure, I’ve gone to Tampico, Mexico once or twice in the past couple of years. But never with D, last time we went to the beach was our 2014 Bahamas Cruise….in other words…WAY TOO FREAKING LONG AGO!

So inevitably this trip was so last minute meaning flights anywhere in Mexico or Florida would be too expensive, so we decided to stay in state and head down to Port Aransas! I was cringing at the thought of the prices at the hotels on the beach and because at this point we were two weeks away from our vacation; basically nothing would be available. Thank goodness for Airbnb, definitely saved our vacation! I found this super cute little home less than five minutes from the beach.

This was my first time using Airbnb, so I had ZERO expectations. After this stay, let me say the bar has been set HIGH as can be. These pictures will not serve justice to this cute home. Read below for a code to save $$ on your FIRST trip with Airbnb.

Unfortunately I never got a chance to take a good photo of the outside. Technically I had a chance but I kept thinking to myself, oh I’ll do it later, or I’ll do it in the morning…well two nights later I never took an actual good photo of it….

This is the best photo I could get; a screenshot of a Snapchat video, featuring D!

Our cute bedroom…

This place came with all sorts of little details; plates, pots, pans, grilling utensils and more!

Provided hangers to make unpacking easier…

Flora, our host even provided a couple of extra beach towels

This Bathroom had EVERY LITTLE THING you could think of

I loved that they even provided Aloe Vera for any sunburns! Thankfully, we didn’t use any of it! haha

One of my greatest regrets was never having time to go to ROAM, which was right next door to shop! This fragrance smelt SO GOOOD!! I keep kicking myself for not have buying any. Missing from these photos was the cute little outdoor shower used to wash off the sand before using indoor shower. Stocked with a wonderful body wash from ROAM, another item I would’ve loved to had bought!

Overall this place was perfect! Flora has three more homes. This location is perfect! So close to many shops and restaurants and night life! I easily walked to brunch and dinner. Also if you’ve never been to Port A, I strongly advice you to rent a golf cart. It helps getting around so much easier. Luckily our rental was a little car that fit anywhere, but I just loved seeing everyone in their little golf carts. We definitely want to go back again!

I will be posting about our adventures, but for now I felt our little bungalow deserved a post of it’s own!
